Midget Football Registration!

Registration dates are now set for the 2008 Midget Football Season. All players interested in playing Bandits or Outlaws this year need to register ASAP. Registration dates are as follows...

• Wednesday, January 23rd from 7:00pm to 9:00pm
• Saturday, February 2nd from 1:00pm to 3:00pm
• Sunday, February 10th from 1:00pm to 3:00pm

Registration will be at the TransAlta Tri Leisure Centre in Spruce Grove.

Players should bring their Alberta Health card and their most recent school report card as verification of school enrollment and grade level.

Parkland Football Blog is BACK!!!

The Old Blogger is pretty well finished his long winter nap - or at least he can't think of any good excuses for the lack of activity. Time to get back on the job and update the Parkland Football Blog!

First order of business - Congratulations to our Junior Predators on their 2007 league championship! (That's "Back-to-Back" championships by the way - they won it in 2006 also.) Awesome achievement and a nice way for head coach James Pratt to go out. He'll hand over the head coaching duties to brother Scott and James will take a little break from football to spend more time with his family.

Once again - congratulations to the players, coaches and everyone who helped the Junior Predators in another successful season of high school football.
